I just love this amazing app! I just am looking for Orions Belt! So you should get this app right away! Great job inventors ❗❕❗❕❗❕
Could get to work dont buy!!!!
Had fun with this app! This country girl loves stargazing!! Loving the app!!
Starglobe is pretty cool for what it is. You pretty much point it at a star and itll tell you what it is but they recently came out with some calendar app that is paid. Apparently if you dont purchase the paid calendar app the pending notification (that alerts you that such calendar exists) will just stay there forever more. I hate having pending notifications on my phone. Trivial. I know. But I dont think an app should permanently notify you if you dont buy their other stuff. Mind you it could also be their email sign up. Which I should also have a right to decline (even though I tried signing up just to make the notification go away and it still didnt work). There are other star apps out there and those dont force their newsletter or other apps on you like starglobe does. Id go ahead and spend your money on those rather than this one (especially if you hate eternal pending notifications like I do)
Was skeptical since it didnt have any reviews but the other apps had very poor reviews so I figured Id give it a try. I love it. The lines connecting the constellations are thin and unobtrusive the stars are represented by their color which is awesome if your trying to figure out what the orange colored star above your house is. It will show you stars and planets in the Southern Hemisphere which is neat. As far as accuracy, it seems good to me. Its pretty much point and shoot. There is a way to move the screen manually with your finger instead of the screen following the way the phone is pointed but I havent figured that out yet. The only thing that keep this from a 5 star rating is that the app doesnt provide you with the Messier (sp?) objects. I really hope they will do an update that provides those. Other wise this is the best $1.99 Ive ever spent.
It is not a bad app, but could use some improvements. For $1.99 ... As long as it points at one in ten stars correctly .. you cant go wrong. Needs menu and help from main window. Details when you click the most common objects (like planets, moons, major constellations, major nebulae and galaxies) would be nice. A freeze screen button would be nice so you can review without holding arms above head. A search interface with directional arrows to guide you to stars ... Just easy stuff and this s a $10 app instead do a $2 one.
Highly recommend it.
It works good however I wanted more in depth. I am using binoculars and would like to know the galaxies, etc.
The app works awesome, and it doesnt even need an active internet connection. Simple and interesting!
Does not work with 6s.
